“Evangelistic messaging by Joe Woodard during speaking engagements when appropriate and applicable”
Within the Intuit ecosystem Joe Woodard is considered by many to be the thought leader to thought leaders. From this unique position, Joe can form a team of thought leaders to serve as both an Intuit-centric advisory panel and a premium tier accounting professional channel to assist software developers. [pardon me while I search for a barf bag].
It appears that Mr. Woodard doesn’t have a clue with respect to what the definition of independence means to a a CPA. Further, the implied qualities as a”thought leader to the thought leaders” certainly depends to a great degree on who one views as a thought leader. It adds a mysterious meaning to “assist software develpers” While Mr. Woodard would seem to have the current prize for audacity, he isn’t the only member of the “Cloud Accounting Crew” in the space. Michelle Long, CPA has her own basket of offerings targeted at Accounting Software Developers….
Ms. Long’s offerings are nowhere close to the Woodard offerings in implying an ability to “deliver the market” for a software vendor, but once again….it would certainly be helpful to add a measure of transparency with respect to compensation received from the software developers by these pundits.
A small peek regarding where we are going to take this discussion is going to include a look at several of the SaaS marketplaces beyond those run by the major application vendors including one we really like SaaSMAX.
